As Pat finally bowed out of East Enders last night, fans took to Twitter to express their emotions – and it wasn’t long before ‘#endofanearring’ was trending! Pat’s departure after a fight against cancer was punctuated by visits from family members including David Wicks, who couldn’t help but get in to a fight with Derek Branning….all in all a quiet night on Albert Square!
However, one celeb joined in the Twitter cry-fest and let her emotions out – Cheryl Cole tweeted: “Please tell me I’m not the only person to have shed a tear at #Eastenders?? Is there something wrong with me..? *bbm crying face*”
Don’t worry Cheryl, it’s OK – Pat may be brown bread, but Pam St Clement who has played her for the past 26 years isn’t – so it’s not all bad! It’s only on the telly, love…
